    Heater in wet room

After looking into this further it says in the on site guide book that the heater should be 'ipx5 if water jets' now i take this to mean that if the shower jets are capable of getting onto the part where the cable goes into the towel rail then it must be ipx5. With this being the case does...

    Heater in wet room

I cannot use underfloor heating as the wet room is already in place and this would lead to me having to take up the lino. Are you sure that a towel rail heater will be ok to use?

    Heater in wet room

I've recently been asked to fit a heater in a wet room now i know that there is only a zone 0 and 1 in a wet room which extends to 1.2m from a fixed shower haed (on site guide page 72) but when the shower head is not fixed i believe the distance then goes to 3m from the shower head position. The...

    Connecting a forklift charger

I've been asked to connect a forklift charger in a warehouse, so i rang up the supplier to find out what size rcbo to use and he told me to use a 50 amp, when i told him that the cable going into the charger was 4mm2 sy cable he told me it had been tampered with and that a 6mm2 sy cable should...

    Consumer unit change

No the change of consumer unit has made it more safe as before it was a re-wireable and now everything is individually protected by an rcbo.

    Consumer unit change

That is what i wanted to do originally but after what my mate said i started to panic a bit. So as long as the test results are within the regulations and everything is fused correctly then i am fine to register it? Also what if a fault were to occur in a few years would i then be liable even...

    Consumer unit change

If by RFC you mean ring continuity then yes every circuit is correctly fused there isn't two radials on a 32 amp or anything like that. Also the Zs's aren't that much higher than what they should be. I've just been told by a friend that i should just tell the customert get it re-wired and...

    Consumer unit change

No No What do u mean by me being on extremly dodgy ground? All other tests seem to be alright with just a few with a high ZS everything is also on Rcbo's and they are all working correctly. Its not that its not safe as most of the test results have come out fine, i'm just worried...

    Consumer unit change

I'e recently changed a consumer unit at the requet of a customer. Before doing it i did a insulation resistance test on the circuits and found them to be within the regs. However after i have changed the board i then did a full pir and found the circuits to be in a poor condition i.e. light...

    Position of consumer unit

I've recently wired for a CU at a house but then when i went back to the house the builder told me the kitchen plan had changed and that the sink was closer to the CU that i had expected. It is still 1metre from the nearest edge of the sink to the nearest edge of the CU. Is this still allowed?
