    Damp/Mould

It indeed sounds like condesation, condensation forms when the hot air inside, meets the cold air from the outside, the point of this contact seems tobe your bay window. The water probably forms on the inside of your window and runs down to the sil/wall. you need air flow to combat this, not...

    Roofing techniques question

If you have two different tiles meeting together you should have a bonding gutter in between then (underneath)and normally a mortar bond for each set of tiles, they should touch or a small valley should be visible between them. Hope this helps Dave

It does seem strange that this post has turned up a year later but he does have some good points, asbestos can develop from 15 to 60 years which seems along way away for all of us but i would not touch it with yours these days and you would not want to die from it as its a very long and painful...

    New roofing tactic sought

Just an idea, strip the roof off, board it out with ply and then cover it with lead! that stuff even keeps out kriptonite! with the price of lead returning to normal now the chinkeys don't want it any more it might not be as expensive as you think(just do the side facing the mask)

    Lead valley leak

Hi Charlie, at a guess i would say that he has probably just rolled the lead and dressed it in to the valley boards and the boards do not have a lip( small angle piece of wood) fitted down the edge from top to bottom, this helps stop any water flowing in to the roof at the edge of the lead. If...
