Yeah the expansion vessel can be taken out and a new one fitted in the boiler but the boiler needs to come off the wall for this. I've had to do this before found it a pain in the a*se but very "do-able" the plumber just does'nt want the hassel of taking the boiler off incase he disturbs...

I've never fitted underfloor heating before mate but i cant see it doing any damage. Is there any kind of problem which is making you want to change the pump speed?

sounds to me like diverter valve diaphram as said earlier.. saying that though, you should check the flow switch.

need to drain the heating mate. There should be a drain valve terminating outside at low level. If its a combi boiler make sure the filling loop is off (it will be) and open the drain (with the boiler off) and watch pressure gauge go to zero. if it is a system boiler with cylinder the heating...

sounds like its passing right enough.. is it an electric shower or mixer? try the gainsborough website for spare parts or to at least find out what part you need, also do they not have a customer support line to advise you on how to go about repair?

use a 4" Flex seal. its pretty much a rubber collar that you simply slide up the pipe then line up the fitting then slide it down over the cut and tighten with jubilee clips. magic!
