Yes 100mm. We've just knocked the garage down which is 1 metre from the fence plus as I said the extension measurements need that size or possibly the kitchen may need rearranging. I think the drawer must have been drinking.

Hello, on the odd occasion I've been involved in an extension at the early stages its always been in the summer. Id like to get on with this one in the near future. So has anyone got any experience/thoughts on starting the footings early in the year? with regards the stability of the sides etc...

Its just the outside handle that's playing up. I think if it was the inner handle or lock as well the job would easier. At least that what it seems, I can't find a video showing how to get to the handle. Only ones showing how to replace the window regulator which apparently needs to be removed...

Unless I'm mistaken it's a big job. To get to the handle on the inside of the door the trim comes off then to get to the handle the next whole panel has to come out. I think even the speakers have to be drilled out. Apparently the window mechanism is in the way. All the videos I've seen about...

Its what the engineer wants. Its 3 metres span so I thought concrete was ok but he wants 178x102x19. There's a window above so not much weight. Does what I've written above explain things?

Does anyone know how a steel lintel over a window on the outside leaf can be rendered over where the steel and padstone are 102mm wide. Is there a better way than chicken wire is the main question and keeping rain from penetrating through would be the next.

Not yet. I had a local company that sells steel measure up recently. The surveyor recommended having acros outside with needless going through both cavity walls and resting on the bedroom floor above. I don't doubt his knowledge but I can't get my head around that. . How did you manage to do one...
