New plaster but damp issue which paint to use

I best get some new pic's for you tomorrow as that may help. Suspect it to be solid wall (all brick) I don't recall seeing a cavity. The plasterer said it would make the plaster super strong (he did it all over) and prevent any cracking - cost me more mind you, but thought to myself may as well...

New plaster but damp issue which paint to use

Put this in the plumbing forum also. I think its most likely the drain causing it which is directly adjacent to the wall. Before doing up the kitchen we had tiles, so never noticed an issue. Until obviously recently...

Drainage outside kitchen (sink/gutter) cracked = new damp issue

I'll check the dimensions tomorrow and get back to you. Surprised you can't glue it with something though with all the stuff out there :( When you say line it with a soil pipe. I'm guessing you mean stick a soil pipe in the middle of it and then cement all around the side?

Drainage outside kitchen (sink/gutter) cracked = new damp issue

hi all, We have a damp issue in the kitchen just posted a thread in the painting forum. I believe the root cause is below. The question I have is can I fix it with some chemical solution and if so what? Or do I have to rip it out which I don’t fancy doing... Cheers, Sparky

New plaster but damp issue which paint to use

hi, we had the kitchen plastered a few weeks back and applied a must coat just fine. Now the paint in the images is peeling. Other areas are okay. We have a drain outside which no doubt is causing the issue. However, I need a quick fix and am wondering what damp paint can I place underneath as...

Stop cock 22 x 15mm or use a reducer instead?

Hello all, I'll get a 22mm stopcock then... for some reason I have 15mm stuck in my mind! Glad you've corrected the situation :) I don't have the time now to get a blue pipe installed and the project is already behind, that will have to wait for the future. At that point we'll likely...

Stop cock 22 x 15mm or use a reducer instead?

Hi all, We have a stop cock that is leaking at the gland nut (where the tap is turned off/on). The main water pipe is lead. I will just replace it with a new one but should i just get a 22x15mm stop cock or get a 22m version and then reduce to 15mm. Is there any point in using 22mm all the...

50mm shower trap same as 40mm litres/min - that right?

its about the same price so for the sake of mucking about with a reducer it might be just worthwhile. however 2" according to a conversion is 50.8. So will it take the 55mm pipe into it?

    Panasonic Washing Machine Error U11

Hi, I have a Panasonic Washing Machine Model no. NA-140ZS1 and I am receiving an Error U11 which is something to do with draining the water. I have checked all hoses and even sat next it during a short cycle wash with a bucket next to me and I’m not seeing an issue, drainage speed also appears...

50mm shower trap same as 40mm litres/min - that right?

too many women in the household (hair issues) and while the floor is up may as well upgrade, i noticed some of the neighbours at 50mm pipe, much bigger than the 40mm. I also want to divert it directly into the soil stack rather than the outside gutter/drain (which also ends up in the same place)...

50mm shower trap same as 40mm litres/min - that right?

Forget the title. damn! I guess you're saying that i need to reduce it by adding a 40mm reducer and then attaching it to that? I wonder why they don't do it at 50mm.

50mm shower trap same as 40mm litres/min - that right?

Hi all, I've gone out and bought some 50mm waste pipe from selco earlier today to upgrade our bathroom piping. The outside diameter is 55mm (hunter branded). We used to have a 40mm (43mm outside diameter) pipe and a ST90CP10-70 mcAlpine shower trap...

Anyone know what this copper bend is called?

Found it with all my other plumbing bits so unsure of its origin. Oh well I’ll look through the web and see if I can make up a connection to suit my needs. The street elbow may just work! Thanks
