    Supplementary bond or main bond?

The tray is only in the communal area of a block of flats and will not enter any flat. So are you saying that it is not necessary to earth it at all???? Surely it would need some degree of earthing?

    Supplementary bond or main bond?

Ok earthing then. So what would csa of the earth cable depend on? The pyro has a pvc sheath so not directly in contact with the tray.

    Supplementary bond or main bond?

Hi, Just a quick question. i'm running some 10mm piros on some traywork. Is the bonding to the tray main bonding of supplementary bonding? The head is 3 phase rated at 200A but the piros are from a 3 phase ryefield board with 60A single phase supplies leaving to supply flats. I was advised by...

    Earthing question for isolator board

I'm fitting an isolator board which will have piro's terminated into it (with earth concentric pots) which feeds submains upto flats. This is fed via a ryefield board etc. I'm taking the concentic pots into the earth bar and the main earth coming in (35mm) onto the bolt which is directly onto...

    Terminating PIRO

Work gave me one of these rotary strippers yesterday and I had so much trouble with it I gave up. I put a new blade in it and it worked fine for a bit but then I had trouble getting it going again. Am I doing something wrong? Any tips for using it? I ended up stripping them all with my side...

What size RCD for farm submains?

Yes of course it could be, sorry. I'm going to check exactly what they want today. But in the mean time, if its TNS or TNCS it does not need an RCD to cover the sub mains, correct? I know that TT systems always have RCD's but I just can't understand why they are requesting them to cover the...

What size RCD for farm submains?

I don't know why they have asked for it to be honest as i'm not dealing with them personally. I will have to find out. Its not a TT supply its a TNCS from what I have been told. Its only a farm out in Wembly so there is still an under ground supply there (not over head) Like I said, all there...

What size RCD for farm submains?

Hello, I have a friend who works on a farm and has had some work done on adding/changing the metering to various buildings. The supplier has requested RCD's for the 3 supplies. There is a 3 phase 100a head feeding 3 SWA's, which have the meter and isolator in line before the swa. I have...
