    Butane gas indoors

No you can't fit it yourself, but there are people who know the regs out there.... Butane can be indoors - propane MUST be outdoors. I'm sure I remember something about the bottle having to be in the cupboard next to it though.

    Gas Cooker fault

Circuit board burnt out ? He could be on about the timer, that's easily bypassed to be honest, It's still available for under a hundred notes though. Parkinson's Cowan have most certainly NOT been took over by stoves, they are owned by electrolux and have been for quite a few years.

    Gas Cooker fault

You need to find somebody who specialises in cookers like myself, obviously this chap had no idea, from what you have described this is a pretty simple repair, probably requiring a new timer, a simple timer by pass would confirm this. For me £20 is not a reasonable charge when the bloke...

    Rangemaster Cooker

Rangemaster are by far one of the best at keeping their transfers on the facia so it's nowhere near as common on their cookers than other makes but it can happen, how old is your cooker ?

Fitting a Built-in oven around an existing gas pipe

New world do a decent basic fan oven, trouble is though that you would definitely need to have the gas pipe adjusted as they are quite tight at the back.... You have to be careful with the lower end of the Market as there is some real garbage out there.

Fitting a Built-in oven around an existing gas pipe

To be fair there are absolutely loads of ovens that hardly give any room for pipework at all. To the op I'm in Burton on Monday, if you're close I can move you're pipe work so any oven will fit for 70 notes  Edit, is it just a gas pipe sticking out or one connected to a hob ? £50...

    Belling 758 thermocouple

Thermocouples go regularly in the bottom oven, I think the other bit you are on about is the thermostat phial though......... it has nothing to do with your fault.

    Quality of stoves ovens

German is no guarantee of quality, Bosch oven elements are a joke for example. Certainly in range cookers Britain leads the way, AGA-Rangemaster in particular. As for stoves, I did 6 years with them, I'm not a big fan of their gas stuff but their built in electric ovens arent that bad...

Engineer Fitted new FFD - Should it be leak tested?

You cant test an fsd by doing a pressure test, it is out of range of the test, the only leak test you need to do is with liquid by simply turning on the oven and testing the joints.

Domestic gas cooker connected with an LPG hose and fitment

A LPG hose is of a higher standard than a NG gas hose and is fine to be used on a NG installation, the only difference is that a LPG hose has an internal lining to stop the LPG coming into contact with the rubber on the hose which it would eat away at.

Range cooker - all gas or dual fuel?

I told you which ones were good, I wouldnt buy any of the others over those. p.s. I've been an engineer for more than 1 of the companies who make the appliances.

Range cooker - all gas or dual fuel?

I'd like to add a little reality to that list as a cooker specialist, there are no £800 range cookers that are anywhere near the quality of the falcons on the list and nobody in my line of work would tell you to buy some of the cookers on that list, some of them are truly appalling quality and...

Cooker lid safety feature not working

Its far more likely that this model will simply need the control knobs replacing. Is it all the knobs wont turn off or just a few ?

Cooker lid safety feature not working

Whats the Make/Model ? On some cookers its as simple as buying new control knobs on others you will require a repair by a gas safe engineer.
