    You could try the pipe lagging with a foil outer, I think Kingspan make it and rather than being your conventional spongy lagging it is more like hardened expanding foam

    Does it look like the bleed nipples are moulded in as part of the rad or are they on a metal disc usually polished steel which is wound into the radiatior ? A piccie would be useful here

    Thanks for the advice I have made sure that the pipes go TRV end to TRV end and Lockshield to LockShield. I have put a brand new Lockshield and TRV on my new rad anyway but will do so on the old when I drain down so I know they are both bi-directional Thanks for your help
