Just to put it into simple terms, looking through the pilot hole of my parents boiler, I can see a small blue flame when CH or HW is off. When either is turned on, it clicks and a big flame appears. They dont use the programs and chose to manually turn them on. On my one, its the same...

ah ok, so i can just use a big pair of pliers and pull the plastic turn valve off? Then just tighten the nut? Where the plastic bit as in where you turn to up or down the temp on the radiator.

lol yes i mean the actual plastic bit, water is seeping from under. I guess this will be a replacement job?

Does it just pull out? I didnt want to try that incase I damage it.

Hi, the nut you can see picture is tighened but its not at fault. Water is seeping under the plastic valve turn thing and then dripping down to the nut.

ok, so i tried this today and the rad got very warm at the top and warm at the bottom but not hot like the some of the others. Also I noticed that 3 of my rads downstairs now leak, tho its not dripping leaking but seeping from the actual turn valve. Do i just replace these valves?

mine is the RS30 FF. So i guess this is normal for me but maybe i need to check out the parents one.

Hi guys, I have another question about my gas boiler. my parents boiler when it is off i.e. CH and HW is off, i can still see a faint flame in the pilot hole. With my boiler, the flame goes out completely when its off, and it takes about 3 secs to relight and work if CH or HW is on...

had a look at my parents airing cupboard and when CH or HW is off, the pump is also off. I put CH on and the pump started but theirs is quieter than mine. I can feel the motor working. So I guess it means something is wrong with my pump, why is it constantly on even with hot water or central...

i'm guessing the return valve is open already, its the one of the left with the cap right? below is the drain valve too.

hi, what is the return valve? I know to open the valve fully for it to get hot.
