sure its not a 5 amp? the ceiling rose connectors are quite small and right light work fine.

ah ok, i might test this with the old block, would it say 5 amps on it? if not i can go get some. i wont know till the weekend but that sounds right.

Ah, sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not back till next weekend. I'll try and explain as simple as I can. The picture is the right light. The left light only has a connection block with live, earth and neutral. I think the actual 6 wiring is tucked above the ceiling hence I'm using what's there...

if you mean visually then yes, they are symmetrical. green on the left then red on the right and is approx 5cm apart. thought there might be something wrong as i read it could be a tamper or shows after the alarm has been set off.

is there a way to turn them off to test that its nothing more than comfort leds? i remember reading some people see them as a fake alarm. i'd like to leave it not displaying like everyone else.

no idea, it just flashes red then green and repeats forever. looks like 1 LED each.

All the Doors in the area are like this, that's why I want to keep a mortis lock at the bottom so it's a pain for any thieves. Alarm will go off but anything to slow them down or be a detterant I suppose. I'll look into the glass grills too tho! Thanks!

yes, front door has glass. I have an appointments with a locksmith tomorrow so he can advise and assist with the locks. changing barrels is easy but hate to doing it from scratch. thanks for you help Alarm

PS: Currently I need to turn a key and pull the handle together in order to open the door, i prefer to have to turn a key and open the door (after unlock any mortislocks etc). even when i am inside, i need to pull 2 levers to open the front door, its not the end of the world but a nuisance.
