Can anyone help on this one please? Gas boiler will often kick-in for say 5 minutes or so when outside the programmer set time. As it didn't worry me too much I can't remember if this was happening before a new circuit board was fitted a few months ago. Cheers

Cheers. last question to any one with an opinion. Is it simply too much of a coincidence that the photo cell would have failed at same time as the run out of oil and is the more likely scenario probably linked to the pump? I want to be fair to the service company but obviously don't want my mum...

Thanks Nixt. Is lack of oil for a short period likely to result in need for both pump and motor replacment though?
