thanks for that, only problem is, I'm worried if I contact virgin then they will bombard me with advertising like I have read about lots of other people having trouble with. Think I will just remove the phone line and leave the box alone as its hidden behind a bush

Tips on tracing loose water pipe

I would also try this first, especially if its only the toilet thats causing the bang. We had similar with a tap fitting in our old house, clipped all the pipes in and it was still doing it , turned out it was the tap causing the problem, new tap fitted problem solved.

    BT junction box

yes, do as advised above or replace junction box 1 with a proper telecoms junction box and then run a wire straight from that to the NTE5. I've no idea about the legality of doing such things although a quick google says you will be "in breach of your licence to use the phone service and your...

I think it must be wired up wrong as it elctromagnetically holds the switch in. There is a wiring diagram on the net somewhere I found when I put a new switch in mine (although mine is 110v)

Haven't had the new main pipe connected yet so no point measuring the pressure or flow as hopefully it should go up a lot when its done. Think we will probably be going for a system boiler (hopefully unvented if enought flow) rather than a combi. Think I might try putting 22mm on the main...
