    well, i have a pegler full bore lever valve and the water board said its illegal and needs a non-return valve, thats why I thought it was a bit odd, the outside tap has got a non-return, was always under the impression that outside taps needed them but not much else.

    i bet that the armour is cut back well behind the back box and just the centre is brought through, the backbox isnt earthed either, but its probably glanded off at the garage end with it being 4mm, its probably on its own breaker and its at the height of the other sockets just to keep it...

    I understand they base past useage on a 7 days use with the new meter, so far, i seem to be using around 10kwh a day, if that averages over 7 days, its been wrong for some time, so should be in for a big refund. even still, i shall be a bit careful with what I use when the new meter goes in...

    and its not likely that i will have my air conditioning running 24/7 on 16c, while washing and drying everything in the house that moves on a 90c cycle with 9kw of heaters in the shed, and taking 3 hour showers either :D
