    CENTRAL HEATING QUERY

Best way is to have a sealed system installed (about £50 for the kit) A vented system with header tank has no place in a modern heating system.

    Cost for power flush

The best way is take the radiators off! and flush out with a garden hose. Job done. You can also flush the system through with the mains which works pretty well. I would give BG the push. For the cost of british gas power flush I can put a whole set of new radiators in the house. :-)

    Equipontal Bonding Mandatory?

Gas meter should have an earth bond before the first branch in the house piping and close to the meter. See lots that dont have any earthing on. But if you bond the gas and central heating pipes and water pipes together (assuming all copper). Usually ideally under the boiler if you have a...

Airlock with no leak in home heating system (oil)

No sounds like a good old short. Cable letting electric straight into the piping. Little bits of solder here or there are not going to lead to the amount of gas you describe. It needs a steady small current.

    HRM Wallstar won't ignite

Well if you have fuel there is no spark occuring. Remove burn out form the hole and have a look when it is trying to fire. All the burner needs is fuel and a spark. So if there is fuel there is no spark. Easy to see this with the burner out (it won't bite. Unless you stand in front)

    HRM Wallstar won't ignite

Invariably it is fuel problems of some sort with it being wall mounted. Things to check/replace. Non return valve (consider fitting a tiger loop). Air leaks in the oil line. Pump pressure. Remove the burner and test fire. Is there any fuel being sprayed? If non fuel take oil hose from...

Expansion vessel relation to unvented system pressure loss

If you let your megaflow go cold. The switch the hot water on. There is an pressue relief pipe that should be near the megaflow that probably goes out through the wall. Check this for it dripping as the hot tank heats up. The megaflow as I remember uses an air bubble at the top of the tank...
