I had Transco out a couple of times to my workshop before they found the leak was from the shut of tap near the meter. The first bloke changed the flexible pipework and the pressure valve. Still leaked. It just needed tightening up with a spanner.

Just had a quote for a new boiler, 12 radiator thermostats and a new hot water cylinder. £4,500.00 :shock: Think I will start by fitting the rad thermostats myself. Can anyone advise which are the most reliable type please.

I am fitting a stud wall. It butts up to a good plastered wall at each end. Can someone tell me how to blend the skim on the stud wall to the ready finished wall to make a good job. Also what is the requirement for a glass panel above the door in the studding.
