I have taken Homebase Tile adhesive and grout and squeezed it in inside so that it solidifies and acts as a backing for the silicone. Once dry, I will apply silicone. Both products are anti-mould :D

There is half an inch gap between the tub and the wall and there is also the gap between the tile and the tub. This was previously filled by grout ( I think ) . The silicone sat on top of it. Now, do I use tile adhesive grout or Easifill filler and then silicone on top ?

Use a rough sandpaper followed by a smooth sandpaper. The surface needs to be dull so that the matt paint sticks onto it. Being silk, you may also find that it rips off when using your sandpaper. Mind you, I am not a specialist by any means.
