    just call any builders merchant and ask for a door lining set,they will ask what width you want.i never look at prices.for a 135mm its £11.99 + VAT from buildbase,norwich,just an example.just called them especially to get you a price.

    only overboard GOOD timber or you are just masking the problem. New boards in your case everytime. make sure whoever does it lays 6mm ply on the new fascias,sloping upwards up onto the rafters before they lay the new DPC.

    just order a door lining set.if its a 75mm stud wall you will need a 115mm lining set and if its 100mm,brick,block,stud wall you will need a 135mm lining set.they will come pre cut to suit either a 2'6" or 2'9" door.not sure of the imperial equivilent as i never use metric doors as theyre less...

    How do you close a cavity below a door opening?

    just a note for future works.if you know your door positions,return the foundation blockwork/brickwork at the correct point and then lay your hardcore/concrete etc as you would normally,then your DPM,slab are all nice and neat and no bricks to knock off later etc.

    if you leave a gap at the bottom and arent fitting a skirting board,be careful not to hit the bottom of the tiles with a hoover/mop etc .

    if it was me,id say no.worriers would probably say yes. if you draw a line at 45 degrees from each end of your opening span(150mm wider each side than your opening)to a point to the centre of the opening,thats technically the most of the brickwork that could drop out.if the joints are tight...
