    300x400x8mm ceramic i reckon about 1.4Kg each, so about 11.6 Kg p/Sq Mtr + 4Kg for addy and grout, will be fine on a cement rendered background, and yes 28 days, unless of course you want them to fall off.

    A sand and cement render properly applied will be much better than plaster, what type are the tiles, this will dictate the weight, are they marble, porcelain, ceramic or what? If you do render you will need to leave i think about 28 days for it to dry out before you can tile, as Richard says...

    what you do next will depend on the size/type and weight of tiles you propose to put back up. I would suggest you read the tiling sticky and search the forum for similar threads, this type of question has been answered before.

    Sounds like a blockage, whit type of system do you have, what size pipes going to the rad, and when was the system last serviced?

    The boiler itself will cost around £800 and like i say without seeing it nobody will know for sure what other works need to be done, especially on the gas side, newer boilers often require and increase in gas pipe size, i only know that through reading from the experts on here. To be honest...

    You can run it with Norton installed, it will not interfere, you just must not have two Anti Virus programmes installed and running at the same time

    When i did mine, in the same type of property, i removed the whole lot top to bottom, and redid the roof accordingly. Nothing to support, so no gallows, beams or anything else.
