    Yes read the sticky, but if it were me no tile on ply, rip it out, 8mm is nowhere near enough, get some 12.5 mm plasterboard up and tank it, or use tile backer board, as for waterproof adhesive non of it is, nor is grout with the exception of Epoxy. Use a quality trade adhesive, bagged cement...

    :oops: Of course Charnwood is correct, Loctite 55 is the string type pipe sealer, what i should have said was Loctite Bondloc, that is the liquid PTFE.

    Aaah so the top of the nut that compresses the olive onto the pipe, in that case isolate the supply, this will not be the isolator on the fitting itself it may be your mains supply stopcock, undo the nut, couple of turns of PTFE tape around the olive, not around the thread, nip it back up...

    What Seco said, and i said before, fibre washer. get the glue off isolate the water supply and replace the fibere washer, cost about 5p take about 2 mins

    Can you take a pic, there will be an olive on the compression joint that joins the tap connector to the pipe (unless soldered) and a washer between the tap connector and the plastic filler tube for the toilet
