Speaker output when using 2 remote keypads?

Maybe I'm not asking the question correctly. What I want to know is: Whether I chose to output the speaker from either of the 2 remote keypads or the panel, do I get the same result? So therefore I only need one output from any one of them (the most convenient)? I.e. if I output from the...

Speaker output when using 2 remote keypads?

Texecom Premier Elite I note the panel has a Spk+ and Spk- also. Are the connections on the remote keypads the same, and do I just need to connect 1 of them?

Speaker output when using 2 remote keypads?

Will audio be directed to the speaker no matter which key pad is being used or only the one with the speaker wire connected

Speaker output when using 2 remote keypads?

Hi, If I have 2 remote key pads and I want to use the speaker output, do I need to output from both panels or is 1 sufficient? Thanks

Wire external sounder using zone or not (grade 3)

Odyssey X3 I read somewhere that when the battery ran low in the bell box or approached end of life this could set then alarm off. However when using the wires to zone option this would not happen and instead alert you to this, which is what I would prefer.

Wire external sounder using zone or not (grade 3)

Hi, In the panel instructions for Premier Elite 48 panel it provides 2 options for wiring a grade 3 external sounder... 1. Grade 3 installation 2. Grade 3 installation (using a zone) However it does not tell me what the difference is or which one I should use? Any ideas? Thanks

Are resistors supposed to come with panel?

Think I've worked it out. PIR has built in resistor jumpers

Are resistors supposed to come with panel?

Hi, I ordered a Texecom premier elite 48 which arrived as a Hardware Version 15 and firmware version 5. I also purchased a premier elite DT PIR. I thought I read somewhere on the forum that resistors should have come with the panel, yet I have none? I am currently bench testing and have come...

2 zones on Texecom Elite remote keypad and speaker

Thanks. So I have my rkp next to the front and garage door, I could just run a cable to each from the rkp instead of the panel and save 2 zones on the panel for something else? Ha sounds :). Are we talking button press beeps, alarm ringing or all of the above? Cheers

2 zones on Texecom Elite remote keypad and speaker

Hi, Are the 2 zones on the premier elite remote key pad additional zones or do they take up 2 of the eight on the panel? Also what is the speaker connection for, what gets emitted to the speaker? Thanks.

    Daisy chain cable

Thanks for that. I may run 2 additional as you suggest whilst I have got the chance.

    Daisy chain cable

Ok so if I want them on separate zones, can I do this with 8 cores for both PIR and door contact using the same 8 core cable?

    Ricochet Premier Elite Smart Keyfob

Hi, I have a premier elite 48 (not Ricochet) however I would like to use the smart keyfob so that I can disarm the garage (and open the roller) only. I take it I would need the wireless expander fitted to my panel in order to use this? Thanks.

    Daisy chain cable

If I can have it on a separate zone but still wire everything with the 8 total cores I assume this would be best?

    Daisy chain cable

For the door contact and shock I think I need 4 cores (2x reed, 1x tamper and 1x alarm), 2 resistors (4k7 & 2k2) and 2 power. For the PIR I think I just need 1 for alarm and 1 for tamper, 2 resistors (4k7 & 2k2) and 2 power (same cores daisy chaining to door contact for power). So all im I'd...

    Daisy chain cable

Thank you. I want them on separate zones. So I have a single cable with 8 cores going from the panel to the PIR then looped from the PIR to the door contact (for which I would also like the Reed and Shock on separate zones). So my question is, is 8 cores enough for this? Thanks.

    Daisy chain cable

Hi, I'm currently refurbishing my house and whilst at it running cable for a Texecom premier elite. Can someone tell me if I can wire a Elite DT PIR and Impaq shock sensor with door contact with an 8 core cable in parallel please? I'm assuming at this point that I will daisy chain the 2 power...

    Will floor take the weight?

Thanks Blup. Span is approx 4.2m although as noted the bath is at the end of the joists do mostly in shear rather than deflection, held up by Simpson just hangers nailed into wood within steel web, which is more of a concern for me. Hopefully these pictures help...

    Will floor take the weight?

I have an en-suite in which I'm planning on putting a double bath (1800x1300mm). It will be positioned against the outer wall which sits on a large steel beam. Going into the beam are 5 X 220 deep joists (400 apart) connected via joist hangers to a wooden binder in the beam web. These wooden...

    Insulating behind soffits

Ideally PIR would be the most efficient, however if this isn't possible then at least expanding foam will prevent the drafts. I don't suppose you could pack it with loft insulation could you? Just keep pushing it in until full.
