Last night in the terrible wind and rain we had i developed some leaks in my bay window. I#t has a flat roof and is flashed up into the wall beneath my bedroom window. The roof itself doesn't loo too bad and i wonder whether driven rain is the cause of the leaks inside...it seems to only leak...

no, the actual waster will travel between the joists....it is the trap that will be directly on top ofthe joist

it is unfortunately a shaped tray and cannot be turned around! i need to see whether i have room to move it away from the joist and box out away from the main wall :(

I am getting ready to fit my new shower tray, but it appears there is a joist running beneath that is right where my waste needs to go...can i notch the joist and put noggins either side?

are there any suggestions for cheap wall covering then? Those pvc panels look ok but work out expensive for a room that has ceiling heights of around 2.8/3m! the existing plaster is a bit rough and i want to avoid skimming if possible - thats why i thought about panelling.

when constructing a new stud partition do i set the studs out at 600mm ctrs and then at the end whatever odd measurement happens to be there happens? or do i space them equally along the legth of the wall? Eddy

i have opened the isolator vavle as much as it will go - that wouldn't explain the lack of heat in the water - all fuses look ok

i checked the main fuses and they all seem in place and correct. some photos to help...
