i am a little confused now.special areas. if i exchange an electrical operated part in a gas boiler ie a fan,gas valve or pcb.which are brand new and direct replacement,do i need to issue a minor works certificate. thanks in advance.

get 2 x 40mm radiator extensions [solid non telescopic] plumb ctr stock them,get a roll of ptfe tape as well. fit one on the left and one on the right side,looks ok when done. see below

ok.i know these are not the best boilers.this one really proves that. the problem i have found is noise. no noise when heating only running. no noise when hot water demmand only. boiler heats up very well. when heating is running and a hot water tap is turned on a screeching noise is heard...

depends which meter you want to attach R1 & R2 test lead to. try www.bemco.co.uk i use an alphatek easitest meter and they supply a breakout out box for this meter £15.00 + vat. e-mail them your requirements for more info.they have been very helpful. [email protected]

does the switched live supply on boiler pcb connection.remain live during fault. use a meter as you probaly know.

do you have any dripping hot water taps,shower mixer dripping or could hot water be seeping into a washing machine or dish washer or any slight water leak on hot water outlet to above.(this will keep boiler in hot water mode and give poor flow to rads) taps are easy to look at.are they...

as a gas fitter i need part p (yes that old subject) i only need it to cover my self,just like having the correct acs assestments for the work i do. so i welcome any others experience in electrical testing on boiler circuits. this is a nice thank you note to ban-all-sheds.cheers ban.
