    Backwards Room Stat

Hello Andy, The wiring you quoted was there when we moved in, 3 wires from a 4 terminal stat probably was dangerous I don't know but I have changed the room stat for a non neutral one. It's still not earthed though only 2 wires coming from it to the programmer & the valve. 1 terminal on the...

    Backwards Room Stat

Hello again, CH4 thanks for the diagram it worked a treat, the room stat is now functioning properly. :D However..... It has highlighted another problem. The programmer is constantly calling for heat whether it's set to off\timed\once\on. If I switch the HW on the valve rewinds to the...

switchmaster motorised central heating valve (bluebox)

If it's a Drayton part you need to go to invensysclimate dot com, click on Europe, click on contact and ring that number. Their customer care and technical support are outstanding.

    New push flush toilet.

You can buy an adapter called a conQ or something, it's the same as a standard right angle adapter but in the shape of a question mark so it goes out from the outlet and then back in on itself slightly so the WC can sit a bit further back. It didn't work on mine however as the rear of the base...

    Backwards Room Stat

Excellent!! :D Thanks CH4 that looks good. I was unaware you didn't need a neutral with batteries. I've made a digram in Visio of the current wiring and therefore got a better idea of whats going on and what you said makes perfect sense. I'll try it tomorrow and let you know how I get on...

    Backwards Room Stat

Hi Paul, thankyou for your reply, but I'm still a bit confused, exactly where should each wire go? On the new Siemens (Landis & Staefa RDD10.1) there are 3 connections: Q11 - Wiring diagram would suggest this is live (Originally connected to Programmer CH on); Q14 - Going to a valve...

    Backwards Room Stat

back up? if only i could

If there is a link to a picture (or some other content) on one of your pages but the content is not on your drive (you know when you get the little red x on your page), this could cause the same problem.

    New push flush toilet.

It doesn't slide it...it...it swings. Mine goes down and then to the right (no dressing jokes please) so you can slightly bend the pipe backwards and forwards.

    Backwards Room Stat

Hello Slippy, I didn't know there was an earth! If you're referring to the cable colours I'm afraid that's whats already there, I'm not going to re-wire the whole thing just to get the colours right, but I agree in principal. Is that what you meant or is there an earth I'm not using correctly?

    Backwards Room Stat

Please Help!! I've replaced my Drayton roomstat with a Siemens digital one and it's all gone Pete Tong! The HW is fine but the CH comes on when you turn the room stat down (regardless of what the programmer calls for). Originally it would blow the fuse when the room stat activated but I...

    New push flush toilet.

I had exactly the same problem with mine. Fortunately I was redoing the floor at the same time and found that the soil pipe moves a fair bit so I just pushed it back. :!: Make sure it doesn't come out of the main vertical pipe though or you will be in deep doodah - literally!
