    1st fix question...22mm/15mm

I'm waiting for him to get back to me with his availability and I was planning to be his mate on the fix, just wanted to run the pipe behind the plasterboard and have it run to final location, it's possible that it will be a couple of continuous lengths of piping barring one elbow, so I was...

Afternoon all! Need to start 1st soon on my renovation on my bungalow - currently constructing some stud walls and plasterboarding in the bathroom/ensuite areas. They are adjacent to one another and both of them have a wall that backs onto the loft area where the cylinder will be. I wanted to...

It's a complete renovation - all new dads and mainly UF heating to be installed. RHI is headache- renewable energy doesn't exactly get pushed very well or advertised at all.

Is there anyone out there that can recommend a AS/GSHP supplier.....

I was initially looking at ASHP, of which the RHI would pay me approx £6700 towards the £8-9k install....I had written off GS due to the install cost. But the RHI calculator suggests payment of £19000 over 7 years which puts GSHP back on the table....bore hole system.

Silly me - even if the boiler could be ignited by an igniter - I'd have nothing to pump the water ... oops.

    Advice on bottled lpg please

Could a combi not supply a coil in the cylinder (thus providing a back up in a power cut)- or would money be better spent just popping the immersion on for 30mins to top up what the heat pump struggles with in cold months? Although I'm having a woodburner too, so I'll stick with that. Thanks...

    Advice on bottled lpg please

Interested in bottled lpg for our new house which is currently gutted. No mains gas. The wife and I would both like to cook with gas. I was hoping to position the bottles on the outside of the rear of the garage, with the intention that a pipe through the wall would run approx 4m through the...

Advice for best insulation/floor system please

I'm going to guess it's negligent in value, or perhaps it's a given constant, but if that were the case I would have thought it would have a value like Rsi and Rso in I values. However I have been looking at blocks called Perinsul which help reduce the cold bridging you would normally expect...

Advice for best insulation/floor system please

Thanks fella. For the new inside wall (cavity- both skins, as the 'outside' is actually the garage) I have ordered Plasmar Fibolite's..... as recommended by my SE. But looking up the thermal values, I'm wondering if I'm better going for thermalites/something similar value wise? Any advice...
