    Door contact set up.

Evening all. I’m trying to set up 2 part arms at home on my elite 24 panel. My setup consists of 4 PIR’s and 4 door contacts, 2 of them being entry/exit timed. My first part arm is a day one omitting only the kitchen pir because of my dog and arming everything else. The 2 part arm is a night one...

    Arm/part arm keypad set up.

Top man thank you. Can I ask, can you have a door contact set as timed entry/exit on full arm (which I have currently) but then just as a guard option at night time part arm or can it only be one or the other?

Will I need to set an address for the wireless expander or leave all of them off?

Ah I get you. Think we'll just use the master set up for us then with a new code and then change the engineers code if that's right?

So there's only going to be me and my partner as a user so shall I just use the master set up and just change the code for us instead of adding another user if that makes sense?

Thank you, it was a long night o_O I have one system alert left which I think is because I have the panel lid off, I'm going to do a walk test today but when it comes to users do I just use the master and change the keypad code for us or do I leave that alone and create a new user for us?

You legend thank you. Do I need to confirm the devices through the keypad then as I can’t see anything in Wintex to do this & do I need to do anything with the keypad in Wintex?

A bit of a nightmare now. System alerts on the key pad. If I put in engineers code I get a message that I need a user. I put the default user code in and get the welcome back master message and it cycles the faults. If I the put the engineers code in again I get the message I need a user again...

Ah that’s brilliant thank you. Zone 1 is set as a PIR in the hallway for entry/exit so do I still tick omittable for that one? Thanks I’ll certainly ask first, just don’t like to become a pain asking all the time.

I’ve managed to connect Wintex to the panel. Z1 entry/exit zone which is my hallway would I select ‘Access’ in Zone attributes 1 and also the zone wiring selection which do I chose in the drop down menu as my PIR’s has 2k2 & 4k7 resistors wired into to them and theres options for normally closed...

Ah no worries. I don’t under the resistor part or how/where to wire them so it’s probably best if I leave it and not attempt to swap the panel etc. Cheers for your help.

Brilliant thanks for that. Just out of interest I opened a PIR to have a look as I’ve seen talk about resistors need fitting etc and the tamper didn’t activate when I took the front off so I had a peek in the panel and the wires from the tamper terminals in the PIR have just been twisted...

That’s interesting. I was considering putting a temporary power supply to my old panel once i’d disconnected everything and just leave the bell box cable wired in whilst I installed the new panel and wired everything else in first then wire the bell box in last but wasn’t sure if you could do...
