    There is no law dictating what colours to be sleeved with neutral and cpc, but both the NICEIC and ECA recommend the black be the cpc and the grey be the neutral, this is to disassociate black with being neutral in the new harmonized colours. Nick

    Standard colours would be brown as live, black sleeved as earth and grey sleeved as blue as neutral. Your sparks will probably take exception to you deciding to use brown as an earth as would most competant people. Nick

    Have you made sure the light your putting up is suitable for use in bathrooms? by the soind of it , metal and four spots i suspect it is not. You need to check out the zones in bathrooms and make sure your fitting is really suitable. Nick

    you have turned it back on at the fusebox havent you ? if so then yes the connections must be wrong you have tried using the other two way switch and see if that makes it come on
