Recommended combi for large house but limited fitting space.

Used to fit the Broags, but as some of you are aware, i had a spat with Broag reference to a warranty claim I had and they gave sod all back up, so no longer have anything to do with them. I have had 2 straight out of the box, that kept blowing the fuse when it fired up, turned out to be the...

    New Boiler Quote

Ditto the above TBH if the boiler is not broken, and you are happy with gas consumption etc, then use the old adage"if its not broke dont fix it" Maybe get it converted to fully pumped, and add a cylinder stat(if you hav not got one), to make the system a bit more efficient. New pump and...

    Worcester 24CDi

That pressure drop,is quite good. When I say that I mean it is not dropping rapidly. The fact that it is not dropping quickly, says that there is obviously not a bad leak anywhere, but maybe just a little. Check all radiator valve heads, they quite often weep around the gland nut, and check...

1 year old Worcester Combi 30cdi - NOT ENOUGH HOT WATER

Paul My advice fwiw: Keep the combi and run just the kitchen hot water off of it. Install an unvented cylinder to work in conjunction with the combi. Bite the bullet and upgrade the incoming mains. Out of interest what was the dynamic pressure of the incoming water? Graham

    Rerouting condensate pipe

Whilst terminating it into the open sink temporarily is OK to get you out of trouble, it is not ideal. Instead tee the condensate into the waste pipe from the sink unit. Was the sink there before the boiler was installed? I have seen so many where an internal termination is achievable...

heated towel rail on domestic hot water system

What type of system do you have? If it is an open vent or sealed traditional system with a hot water cylinder, then you take the feed to the rad, from the secondary circuit that heats the hot water cylinder. Very handy to have, as when you are heating your cylinder, you ccan also be drying...

    Flexible hoses and Gas cookers

The only thing that you might need to watch, is the location of the gas coming into the appliance. Some are bottom left, bottom right, top left, top right. Obviously if your gas point is low down on the right, then an appliance with gas feed on top left might have the flexi stretching :shock...
