    Brick Spacers

Unfortunately the bricky lays a full flat mortar bed. Which would be almost fine for a pack of identical sized, true, square, bricks. But bricks are bendy, lumpy, bumpy, stumpy etc We need peaked, grooved mortar to make up these deviations and to key into the frog or perforations in the...

    Water under the floorboards!

Hi Steve, Given that you have you only just smelt the damp even though you have lived here for some time it could well be the recent neighbour downpipe addition, either a bad connection or some overflow? Your timbers and brickwork do look in remarkably good, dry, rot free condition which...

    Concrete post problem

If the metal is rusty, then this is reason that part of the post has flaked off. The rust has expanded the metal and "blown" the concrete off. You could do a temporary repair with a strong cement mix but it needs a new post, sorry.

uPVc french doors toe / heeling packer spacer?

    extend over drains ??

Drains can be built over But you wont want that waste gulley inside your extension You can box the soil pipe in and send the the sink waste into a boss on the soil pipe Though it looks like a cast iron soil in the pic, so might be easier to renew with plastic

    Cement Mixer

Providing that your sand/stone is fairly dry then chuck a full bucket of water in first. Sounds like you're starting off a bit dry. And Only clean out at the end of the day. Or if your finding it hard just do half mixes, your mixer will like halfs too.
