    how can that work ? the top of the triangle point on the 'bottom' piece wont reach the 'top'piece will it? when i last did it i firstly papered the triangle bit overlapping onto the 2 walls about an inch. Then hung the two drops either side of the triangle bit and then spliced everything in...

    yeah you can use a steamer if u want, but try not to go on to the lengths of lining paper that you want to stay there. rub the wall down , size the wall( sealer if the wall is damp from leak), rehang the lengths leaving a couple of mm gap. let it dry , paint the new area , let it dry , paint...

    depends what paper you use as to how its going to look, be easier to hide the splice using anaglypta with a random pattern in it

    bought some new doors to replace the old ones.. do you measure the door frame dimensions and transfer them onto the new door .....or do you place the new door on top of the old door and mark round it?

    another great job in the end though! do you do your own brickying too? can you tell me , do you pva the brickwork before the first coat of plaster gos on? or wet it down at all? Also i went to B&@ today (again) and found that there is Bonding, Browning, Multifinish, Board finish ... etc...

    diyisfree, did you just skim over the existing walls on the landing or hack it off and start again?

    Do you PVA brickwork before dot&dab too? Fred, do you think i should get a decent trowel before i go on the course or use theirs on the course? also can you skim over emulsioned walls?
