    Dust Extraction

I think you can get it from Amazon UK if it is available as I have seen it on there. Brilliant I have seen a few of these but I didn't think any went up as far as 57mm. As for the router table the perspex rubbed on the wood due to vibration I am guessing and its now no longer level. Thanks James

    Dust Extraction

Hello, I have one of the wickes wet and dry vacs for my garage however I am finding that everything seems to have different size holes for dust extraction. Does anyone know where you could purchase adaptors for them? I am looking at this router table due to the other one becoming uneven...

Adjusting Router Height Above the table

Thank you for your replies. @JobAndKnock thanks so I would just need to purchase the DW6956 and this would allow the adjustment from above the table? I presume it comes with instructions on how to install it? Thanks James

Adjusting Router Height Above the table

Hello, I previously made my own router table from some help from people off here (Thanks Again!). However the perspex has scratched away at the wood from the vibration and has caused it to sag and now I don't have a level surface. I did find that it was a bit of a problem to change the height...

    22.5 Degree Chamfer

I think the highest setting is around 8 or 9. So I should be using it at a much higher speed? Like 7? So if I understand you correctly I have my guide setup and I go across it like usual but have another piece at the height of my cutting piece so it's guiding the height as well? Which in...

    22.5 Degree Chamfer

Sorry the wood is 30cm in length which is the length they will be. I don't know what the fastest speed is without looking in the manual. When you say set up some wood so the router stops up against it I am unsure what you mean? Thanks James

    Untreated Kiln Dried White Pine

Also does anyone know what the largest width of a White untreated pine board would be and what sort of thicknesses would that come in? I am currently trying to find out on various timber yard sites but they all have different sizes and just say other sizes available so Iam wondering if anyone...

    Untreated Kiln Dried White Pine

I have just learned that redwood refers to Scots Pine as well as Redwood Trees. Is scots pine the same as whitewood pine? If so my problem is solved if not then back to the drawing board. Thanks James

    Untreated Kiln Dried White Pine

Not yet as I have always been able to find it on wickes or B&Q as a pack of 8 in the sizes I require. I will try there at weekend though. Thanks James

    Untreated Kiln Dried White Pine

Hello, Very random question but last year (or maybe the year before) I bought some of the above from Wickes which was Planed Square Edge and I now require some more to make some other things for the animals. If I deviate from the above the wood is toxic so hence I ma stuck with this wood. I...

    DIY Router Table

Thanks. This is only going to be small as it's for a gerbil. So thin wood with say a 4mm groove in it. I have attached a picture of what I am looking at doing so it gives a better idea. I would still like to make the rails for the fence to ensure the fence is straight when it has been moved...

    DIY Router Table

Thanks. I was just thinking the fence on rails with the clamped wood to it moving it over the cutter. I was thinking is the safest option and most accurate for me. Adjusting it for each cut and clamping it each time so it doesn't move. I hope this makes sense. Thanks James

    DIY Router Table

Ah sorry I meant ladders not stairs. When I am home tonight I will take a picture of the one which is currently ok so it gives a better idea of what I am after. I could free hand it but I think it would be better using the fence to ensure the groves are straight. Thanks James

    DIY Router Table

Ok so the other half has decided I need to make some straight very shallow grooves in some wood to make some stairs for one of the animals. How would I now build in tracks for the fence to go forward and back in a straight line? My dad thought a dovetail but I only have a 9mm piece of...

    DIY Router Table

Thanks i think it maybe a bit beyond me currently but also I don't think I have room in my garage either lol. I was thinking something more simple and functional like just a sliding back and forward fence but I am a little unsure how to achieve this. Thanks James

    DIY Router Table

Ok thanks so how would I make the fence move forward and backwards? I am currently using a piece of 9mm hardboard as the table? Thanks James
