Anyone able to recommend Erbauer power tools?...

I ought to have said that I have had the router for 12 months and used it a fair bit. I paid £30 for it so it was an ebay bargain. I have also bought an Erbauer 18v cordless drill and used it for 4 days solid replacing guttering and no complaints so far. It feels as good as a more expensive...

Anyone able to recommend Erbauer power tools?...

It has no name on it at all and I bought it ex-demo off Ebay. The model number though is ERBRT3-240. For me it is great for DIY. It is substantial and quite heavy. I don't think it will fall apart easily and has an 1850W motor. I'm no expert in these things but even at £85 I think it is good value.

I feel Like The Victor Meldrew Of Mobile Users!

Hi, I could be wrong but I don't think removing the SIM lock is the issue here. It sounds more likely that the IMEI has been barred on all networks (ie blacklisted) and then reinstated on your SP network only. Changing stuff on the phone will have no effect.

    Strange tap problem

I recently installed a new bathroom. (Only taken 2 years) which my mother in law was very impressed with, except when she came to use the basin. The taps don't turn in the conventional way. The hot (on the left) turns anticlockwise to turn it ON and the cold clockwise ON. This feels wrong to her...

Plastering - tips for skimming a large ceiling

Thanks for the tips. The jobs been done now and I am very pleased with it. Only problem is my arm aching as I'm not used to it, and still had to move pretty fast on the first coat to get it flat enough for the second before it went off. Second coat was fine though.

Plastering - tips for skimming a large ceiling

4m x 6m Plastering onto new plasterboard. (Old lath ceiling collapsed) Confident on smaller areas. Have done quite a few smaller rooms. One reason I ask is that I have also been told that if folded over the tape can pull with movement and leave worse cracking along the top of the wall...

Plastering - tips for skimming a large ceiling

I am about to embark on a ceiling that is a little larger than I have tackled before. The plan is to break it up into sections and a colleague has suggested feathering the joins out and keeping them damp with a PVA mix until I tackle that section. Does this sound OK? Also when taping the...

    Chipped fibreglass bath

I did exactly the same and used the kit in Igorian's link. Worked a treat and now can't see the chip at all. A tip is to spray the paint through a hole torn in a piece of paper about the size of a 2p piece held about 3-4" from the repair. It helps to feather the paint out for a perfect result.

    Air bubbles in plaster

Old plaster will go off quickly. It is date stamped on the bag and I believe the life is around 3 - 6 months. Personally, I think its never worth using old plaster just bin it. Also the warm weather doesn't help. Worth keeping the windows shut and splashing a bit of water around to up the humidity.

Howdens - Any good for kitchens?

My experience is the same. My father has a trade account and the stuff comes in cheaper than MFI when they are having a 'sale' (Are they ever not?). Good quality but as previously stated not the best at laying it out for you.

    Extended TV warranty

No. I wouldn't take it out. The margins are so low on consumer goods now, all the money is being made on these extended warranties which is why they are pushing them. Of course you may be unlucky and have a problem but..... IIRC Sony have a longish warranty period on TVs anyway(They did 10...

    Anyone recognise these monsters!?

Actually got mine off ebay. But I guess an agricultural supplier may be able to help. (Just looked on ebay and noone selling it - only roundup

    Anyone recognise these monsters!?

Glyphosate is the stuff to use but Roundup is an expensive way to buy it if you need a largish quantity. Last time I bought 0.5 litre for £20 or roundup. I later bought 5 litres of agricultural Glyphosate for £30 at 3 times the concentration. (My dad has about 1/2 acre of the stuff and has been...

If you use a powered hub to extend the length of USB you shouldn't get any noise or attenuation problems.

    window fault on rover 216

If this is an older 216 like my wife's (L reg) the problem with the windows is that the internal skin had been flexing and pulled the mounting bolts through. This had distorted everything (maybe why yours is coming out of the runner) and with the help of grime that had built up on the runners...

DIY powerflush - rads stay cold during flush with warm water

I have powerflushed my system twice. Once myself with hired kit and once a plumber did it. Neither time made a lot of difference. I've got the typical pyramid shape where it does not get very warm. What does work it seems but I've only done one rad is to take the rad off, take it outside and...

    broadband usage

Looks like you had the same as me. If you don't download music and movies then you would probably be better downgrading which you can do online. What I didn't find out though because I couldn't get through to their technical support was whether changing the service signs you up for another...

    leaking roof nightmare

Sorry to butt in but from what I read it sounds like the chimney breast has been removed from the ground floor and the bedroom above to ceiling height , everything else is as before so the chimney stack still exits the roof hence the capping and the flashing are stil there. Is this correct?

    Nokia Ring Tone Transfer

I don't think you can change the ring tones in the 1100 but you can compose your own using the in-built ringtone composer.
