    Advice re: temperature please

Hmmm yeah so maybe more efficient to keep it steaming then? I checked outside and the there was no steam coming from the flue (although there is when it first comes on) and I couldn't see any water dripping from the pipe into the garage guttering.

Replacing old steel bath with new one.

When our cast iron bath was replaced, it was a damn nightmare to get down the stairs. Took 3 of us to do it, and within 10 minutes, the Gyppos were round the corner on their weekly run and took it away. One of my mates sells bathrooms (Landons) and he always says get a fibre glass bath (or...

    Advice re: temperature please

I am unsure after reading a fair bit, what temperature to set the heating to on my boiler. At the moment the temperature is between 50 and 60. It has taken roughly 1.5 hours to raise the temperature in the house about 3c. If the water is 70c or above it takes about an hour to raise the temp 3c...

    Blu-ray discs

Band of Brothers is amazing on Blu-Ray. Just wish I had a 1080p TV instead of a 1080i. Iron Man certainly worth a watch, and the Harry Potters are good quality. I thought 300 was good too. There will be a lot of your films on DVD not worth replacing, as they won't look too bad upscaled by...

    another idiot!!!!!!!!

I would say £50/h is pretty normal for most places. Take your car to the dealership and see what they charge per hour  Mercedes charge about £100 and Honda charge about £85 at least. Go figure with that one. Even a back street garage will charge you roughly £40/h.

    Electric or Gas

I believe it is cheaper to run the heating rather than the fire, as the heating will switch off at set temperature. 20 degrees may be a little warm for baby's room. I think it only needs to be at about 18/19. Gas vs Electric depends on your costs. I would say again the gas is cheaper...

I think it may well be a 65a fuse. No worries on that score then. Thanks for your reply.

    Meter tails

My meter tails are apparently 16mm apparently, and should have been changed to 25mm when the meter was changed at the 19/20 year point. Should I get Central Networks in to do this, and should it be a free job? I think it was the meter tails anyway.

Shouldn't there be some kind of timing controller with the tree? Sure I've seen most fibre optic trees with those attached.
