Worcester 280 - Hot Water problems are back again !

Thanks for the tip DP. But that is exactly what I've done !!! Based on the helpful advice from other posts (see link above) as well as following the fault finding guide I changed the DHW HE. Initially this seems to have fixed it but occasionally they are reoccurring but to a lesser extent...

    Wood Coloured Sealant??

Oh great thanks. One question the website states it's sold in 'cans'... Is it an aerosol or a regular sealant gun cartridge? Thanks.

    Wood Coloured Sealant??

Is it possible to buy wood coloured silicone sealant? After fitting an Oak Engineered floor I have a couple of gaps on the corners of door frames, admittedly if it had been fitted better there wouldn't be any but i found it impossible to get a completely gap-free fit. Many Thanks.

Worcester 280 - Hot Water problems are back again !

After fixing the problem here http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=123110 with my heat exchanger (or so I thought). The issue with intermittent hot water is back, although it's only done it twice in 2 days. Can sometimes take a while to get hot too. Any ideas? Suprisingly the old HE...

Worcester 280 RSF Heat Exchanger replacement.....

How do I remove the fittings at the back of the HE? Are they the the type with a retaining clip or is it just the top securing bracket of the HE that compresses against them? Many thanks.

Worcester 280 RSF Heat Exchanger replacement.....

Based on my other thread here http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=122692 everythings pointing towards the water/water heat exchanger needing replacement.... I changed the thermistor just in case but no change (well, things seem to be getting worse - no hot water at all.....) I've...

Worcester 280 Hot Water problems !!

Ok here's an update... Had the plumber round...He observed the symptoms I described and then talked with Worcester....they're saying it could be the motorised diverter valve and would probably be un-economical to fix.... They also say there's a small chance of it being the Thermistor so we'll...

wow...quick replies gents, thanks. Flow rate is fine, I think BG checked that a while ago when doing a quote. Would a "well blocked secondary heat exchanger" cause the flame to extinguish?
