Are you suggesting I get rid of the basin mate washer as well? If so, then surely I'm back to the problem of the ceramic/casting being uneven.....?

Hi - I tried a basin mate washer, but it is too thick, as it takes up all the thread on the waste fitting, which means I cannot fix the trap to the under side - any ideas?

Trying to fit an (Ideal Standard Reflections E476001) bidet, and cannot get a water-tight connection on the underside of the waste - it's almost as if the ceramic casting is uneven - have tightened it as far as I can go, and used various combinations of rubber washers and silicone, but it still...

I omitted to say, he has had these TRV's for 12-15 yrs. No cap, or box to be seen, anywhere.

My neighbour has a leaking rad with a pinhole along the bottom of it. He used to have a Danfoss TRV fitted on it, which played up, so he removed the main TRV part - so it now just shows the pin - he needs to shut the leaking rad off, with a view to replacing it, but doesn't know whether the TRV...

Mine are all painted with oil-based undercoat, and white gloss - some 7 years - and never had any bad smells, etc...... OJ.
