Problem with AEG Lavamat Turbo 16810

Hi - the spin cycle sounds really gravelly, and eventually shows an E20 error message, which seems is related to the drain, pump, etc. I have already cleaned/emptied the filter from the small access door on the bottom/right of the machine, but cannot access beyond that. My question is how...

Bidet - popup waste bad fit

TicklyT - many thanks for the comprehensive and much valued response - my main concern is that the underside of the ceramic/casting is uneven, so I'm not sure if a plain washer would do the trick. To replace the waste fitting could be tricky, as it is a pop-up waste with a rod mechanism, if you...

Bidet - popup waste bad fit

Are you suggesting I get rid of the basin mate washer as well? If so, then surely I'm back to the problem of the ceramic/casting being uneven.....?

Bidet - popup waste bad fit

Hi - I tried a basin mate washer, but it is too thick, as it takes up all the thread on the waste fitting, which means I cannot fix the trap to the under side - any ideas?

Bidet - popup waste bad fit

Trying to fit an (Ideal Standard Reflections E476001) bidet, and cannot get a water-tight connection on the underside of the waste - it's almost as if the ceramic casting is uneven - have tightened it as far as I can go, and used various combinations of rubber washers and silicone, but it still...

    Danfoss TRV

My neighbour has a leaking rad with a pinhole along the bottom of it. He used to have a Danfoss TRV fitted on it, which played up, so he removed the main TRV part - so it now just shows the pin - he needs to shut the leaking rad off, with a view to replacing it, but doesn't know whether the TRV...

    Soil-stack unfinished?

We've always noticed a bad smell in our bathroom, even though any building work finished almost 8 years ago. I have just climbed along a little loft section of our extension, and around a corner to find that the soil-stack finishes inside the loft - just an open end of grey soil pipe -about...

    Airlocked CH system

I drained down my central heating system to replace a 3-way valve....and now my system seems airlocked - loads of loud clunking sounds, etc. I am only getting heat in 1 upstairs rad and no downstairs rads. The header tank has very dirty (hot) water in it, and the expansion pipe is spluttering...
