CAN I GET RID OF MY COPPER HOT WATER CYLINDER ??

Another point is a megaflow does not supply endless hot water on demand it works on the same principal as your exsiting copper cylinder.Use the hot water in it and you have to wait for it to reheat.

CAN I GET RID OF MY COPPER HOT WATER CYLINDER ??

Why do you want a megaflow cylinder ? From your post it appears you think you will not have a dirty great hot water storage tank in your house. This is not the case a megaflow is a unvented water hot tank you only loose the big water tank in the loft and gain lots of stuff in the cylinder...

How long should it take to comission a new boiler?

contact Gas Safe 0800 408 5500 with the installers details to raise a complaint. They can and will issue an order to correct any defects. My concern is if the appliance is connected to the gas supply pipe work without being tested, this would put you at risk of having a dangerous appliance and...

    biasi boiler problem

If the system was not completley clean the first time round the damage was done before the powerflush, also what most people forget when powerflushing a combi boiler the water is not flowing through the plate heat exchanger and will not be cleaned. Add to this every system even with inhibitor in...

Ariston Microgenus HE 24 - cold water for 30 secs

The most likely cause for your problem is dirt (sludge) in the plate to plate heat exchanger. No amount of servicing will cure the problem, you need to find a good local registered gas engineer to take a look and give you a quote for the repair. One note of caution is if their is lots of dirt...

Overfilled Baxi Solo 3 and now it's leaking

That`s what I like a confident diy-er :) You mentioned before water coming from the heat exchanger area. Just a little warning, It is possible that the boiler is losing water from the heat exchanger when hot and you are not now seeing it. This in the trade should be classes as...

X800 Longer than an hour, but how long?

If you speak to the Sentinel the manufacturer it is now possible to leave X800 in a system with no adverse effects, this due to the fact the chemicals they now use will breakdown in about two weeks. Unlike the old stuff that had some nasty chemicals that where not acceptable in todays greener...

Mains pressure not quite man enough for kitchen mixer?

Sound`s like your cold inlet may have a check or non return valve fitted to prevent cross contamination of the cold main, this would restrict the flow rate from the tap. The tap you purchased would have given a minimum pressure it will operate with, have you checked this? You could remove...

    soot deposit on thermocouple

My first question is are you qualified to work with gas. soot or carbon build up is due to incomplete combustion and may relate to more serious problems with your boiler. best advice would be get a registered engineer to check the boiler.

    filling condensate traps

All condensate traps should be filled correctly before the boiler is finally left for a customers use. Worcester boilers have a built in program to fill the trap, most other boilers require more crude methods of filling them. Just running the boiler will eventually fill the trap.

How Do I work Out KW of Rads

do not touch from the installation manual "The boilers are fully modulating for central heating, and it is therefore not necessary to range rate the boiler. However, if desired, it is possible to range rate the boiler,"

    one cold radiator

With 7 rads the first thing that comes to mind is poor pipe work design. Just sounds like you need to properly balance the system. Water flow is lazy like a lot of boiler installers it will take the shortest and easiest route if it can. Try reducing the flow to the hottest rads by the...
