Ok thanks for that but why would i have 2 earth wires going outside? The people before me painted the whole thing but the 3 small cables are green/yellow earth. The Warning sticker says: ' Interference with this installation is illegal and could cause death or injury' See pictures below

Sorry guys my fault. The two small cables coming from the right are yellow/green earth and the small one going into the CU in earth. The cable goes outside by the front door and you can see a little earth cable and then it's buried. about 10cms from where it goes into the ground is what looks...

Well what i've read here means i can either go from the cu with 6mm and then transport the earth, or install SWA 3 core and not transport the earth. :lol: I think i need to do more reading :lol:

What is the easiest way to transport an earth to an outside building? To go down the SWA route or transfer it direct from the earth cable in the house?

I Always thought Crafty and BAS were qualified sparkys, or are you in another area?

What i've read is that you can do all the work yourself you sound like a competent person to me, and then get LBC to check the work. This will be cheaper than getting a sparky in and you know it's up to standard.

Can i ask how old you were when you started the night course? And are you on your own now, or got extra people working for you? Thanks

Just wondering when most of you started out, were you all 16 straight from school? Or have a few started a little later. Also anyone Self Employed? And did you do this after working for someone and had enough, or went straight into the deep end after college/apprentice?

How would it take me a year working on the above it'll take 3-4 years. But that is once a week. Are there courses that do it everyday?
