    Never, but i have a single back box also plastic which does have a gold screw, that's were it threw me.

    But i thought new rules came in on Jan 05 saying unless are a qualified electrican you cannot touch them, or you can but need the council to look at them. Both will give you a certificate saying work was done to standard. So i still don't understand i'm afraid. :(

    Yes iit's gotta be you rewired the switch wrong. I would put them on all switches, very easy to do and only cost you a few quid.
