    Intermittent central heating problem

you'd be better off with a nice new Honeywell wireless room stat ideally with a new boiler like that, but as said don't touch and get installer back. It could be a dodfy relay in the timer even. You could try measuring (with power to system off) continuity between the contacts when the...

    issue with gloworm micron 70ff

I was thinking that from the start, but you will need a gas engineer to come and purge it for you and to check it's gas tight after. I've had a few before when pilots been turned out and after being re-lit a week or so after, the air has caused it to not light immediately, so again the...

Worcester Bosch 28i Junior: hot water but no central heating

I've heard of a few of these faults before. I find the best way to fault find this is by opening a hot tap and seeing if the combi still fires instead of going out so soon.

    Boiler breakdown Baxi courses

I have been on manufacturer courses, they teach you a bit about their diagnostics etc but don't get much into fault finding with boilers generally. The worcester course was decent, gave me a free card to help with fault finding, plus a long reach magnetic pump head / gas valve adjustment key...

    Combi boiler diverter valve q!

Usually the motor only becomes activated when a hot water demand is made, by the flow switch. then the valve body inside via the motor moves and closes the heating port.
