Do i need a special dimmer switch if going for the double dimmer. If the 12v transformer is compatibile with dimmer will it just work. This might be the easiest option to go for without electrocuting myself or plunging the whole street into darkness

It was the secondary thermister. It was showing an infinity reading on the multimeter so not creating a circuit. ordered a new one and replaced it and it works great now!

Well i whipped out the flow governor and tried the boiler which made no difference. So then whipped out the secondary thermistor. This was scaled up a little. I cleaned this off and re-tried but still the same. Therefore just ordered another one for £9 from a website i found. I'll try that and...

Hi I managed to remove the flow restrictor on the input into the boiler but found that it looked clean and free of sludge. Inside it was a white shuttle with a magnet in it. (i assume i have removed the correct part!). I put it back togather and reconnected the two push fit connectors and...

Yes it does. The majority of where we live is hard water but we are lucky and dont have hard water. The kettle never furs up so dont think its anything to do with limescale. Could there be a build up of sludge somewhere caused when we had the water meter fitted? If so where should i look for...
