any voltage to gas valve?? pcb could be faulty - any fuse on pcb? check that too

also try this: with radiator removed - open each valve into a bucket and see if water freely flows/what quality it is - very black/thick/dirty could be a circulation problem. You can add Sentinel X400 yourself and give your system a good chemical clean that way.

check for power to the fan, usually via the air pressure switch (common or NC terminals - check both) - check the fan is free and check resistance of the coil/windings.

Jake - what's the best way to become Gas Safe Registeredon your own? I have ACS qualifications - CCN1, CEN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1 and WAT1, also a FOundation certificate and portfolio. I was hoping to work with a company and be put on their gas safe, but wanted to learn a bit more aboit...

you say the pump is working but hae you checked it fully? could be a thermostat/thermistor fault need to check eveything I haven;t got the manual at the mo so can't see what components your boiler has

what does the pressure gauge show? is there air in the system? is the system water dirty?? could be a few things but would be gas related

is this a combi boiler?

haven't got the manual so not sure what components your boiler uses - is the pilot permanent when lit or does it come on intermittently eg/ when there's a demand from heating or hot water?? have you checked the pump?

could be a leak somewhere in the system - or could be an expansion vessel fault

I'm not gas safe registered on my own at the moment but may be by the end of the year. I want to learn about boiler breakdown as I really am interested and have seen jobs advertised and want to learn as much as I can before applying.

will any boiler manufacturer courses help me? I've seen the BAXI, VAILLANT, GLOW WORM, RAVENHEAT ones advertised and a Mr COmbi general combi boiler fault finding course advertised. Thanks for any help given all

could be an ignition fault, needs to be checked by a gas engineer

sounds like system is not balanced correctly could also be too much 15mm pipe to that rad especially. air getting in constantly...?
