    I cant get a pic at the moment but its a CED Axiom consumer unit with 100a isolator and 10x RCBOs. The earth bar is sat on a fold of metal welded on the unit its self.

    Hi, I cam across some Gewiss 24v sockets and plugs and also a transfomer from screwfix with both 110v and 24v plugs on it.... What are 24v sockets and plugs used for? there are not power tools for them. Thanks

    500va Transformer

    The control voltage is 110v (the transformer is 55v-0v-55v) and the reason its so big is because it was the only one I had left without having to buy another one.

    The transformer will provide a control circuit in a control panel (contactors, relays, lamps etc) the primary side will be protected by a MCB and the secondary either single pole MCB, double pole MCB or quick blow fuses Not yet sure on the correct protection for the secondary side.
