mains incoming cable goes into big old looking metal case PMS, with no visible fuse. Nothing like the normal plastic jobs we see every day. Does anybody know if this is still ok ? when doing an install, say consumer unit..what information would be put on the type and rating of supply...

on rcd protected side of split load board do u have to note zs values on eic because ordinarily if zs couldnt be met then circuit could be protected by rcd..

yes main bonding is all up to scratch and supplementary bonding is below 0.05 ohms but there is no supplementary bonding directly to rads and taps in bathroom. I suspect reading is ok because boiler is directly below bathroom so within metre/couple of metres and is all cross bonded.. is...

so shower doesnt need doing but to bring up to current standards must the supplementary bonding be done in bathroom? and sleeve cpc's everywhere or make a note on eic that its missing also supplementary bonding has not been done in bathroom but if tested using a low resistance ohmeter...

When changing consumer unit to new split load type noted during installation and testing that there is no supplementary bonding in bathroom, shower has no pull cord isolating switch , no sleeving on cpc's would these all be noted on eic or would the work have to be carried out to bring up to...

so is it ok to link phase + neutral incoming and do insulation resistance to earth on whole installation. will this save damage to rcd on typical split load board? thanks

hi all is it ok to do an insulation resistance test on the whole of a split load board and associated circuits at incoming meter tails or will the test cause damage to the split load rcd a lot of rcd says they must be disconnected when doing insulation resistance test or damage will occur...
