    Microsoft RAM license

If one knows the correct letters and cases to use to describe the quantities one is talking about, then one should make all efforts to use those correct letters and cases.

I am extremely doubtful that an alleged USB to 1394 adapter such as that would work in any way, shape, or form.

Where to get Windows 7 Disks?

These links from Microsoft can probably explain it better than I can: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/what-is-a-system-image http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/restore-computer-from-system-image-backup#1TC=windows-7...

Where to get Windows 7 Disks?

If you go to Control Panel > Backup and Restore, there are options there to both create a system image and create a system repair disc. I would recommend that you do both, once you are in receipt of the PC.

    Petrol Station Shop

Surely these requirements should have been agreed between your employer and the company that runs/owns the petrol station, when the service contract was being drawn up, before you even set foot on the forecourt. The fact that it seems to have come as a surprise to various people indicates...

    HDMI Splitters

An HDMI splitter is the colloquial name for an HDMI distribution amplifier. You would use it to feed one HDMI source to multiple destinations, so not what you're after. You would need an HDMI switch unit, that could switch between 2 (or more) HDMI inputs to one output, something along these...

    Dodgy Ebay electrics again

You've totally answered your own question there! FYI, the 'all-plastic earth pin' on such plugs, as well as plug-in transformers etc, is more correctly known as an ISOD, an Insulated Shutter Opening Device. :)

    HDMI not listed.

It could be this, and I've also noticed that some TVs (particularly Samsung) don't display the HDMI input option if they don't detect a signal on the input. If Windows 7, a much easier way of doing this is to press [Windows key] + P. That will display an on-screen graphic that shows all 4...

Connecting LG TV to existing cable through wall

True. An inlet of this type is known as a C18 connector. The OP would need to confirm if the LG TV in question had a C14 or C18 inlet. However, even if it did, it would still be extremely poor practice, and potentially very dangerous for future users, to put a C13 connector on a 2-core...

Connecting LG TV to existing cable through wall

Mind explaining why? The product linked to is perfectly fine (think about it). Now, if it were a male figure-of-8 (C7) to female 'kettle' (C13) you'd have a point, but not in this case. The only thing Iggi is guilty of in this instance is for suggesting a product that would not work in...

pineapple, Next time, please try to read a post properly, as it might stop you grabbing the wrong end of the stick and making a fool of yourself, as you have just here. Jeds was quite clearly stating that he realised he'd made an error, and was correcting it. He even had the common decency...

When you choose 'Reply All', it won't automatically put your email address in the 'To' field. And if your email address ain't in the 'To' field, then it won't send you the email. If you want to copy yourself in on emails you send, then you'd have to make sure you put your email address in the...
