Your new BHO71 will not fit the BHO11 base. You need to either buy the conversion base that fits where the old BHO11 went in (notice the PCB sticking out of the old box, there is not one on the new box), then the new box will fit. Or buy a new base and do a total rewire. IMHO a Satronic base...

There has got to be some ID somewhere. Is it a floor standing or wall mounted, inside or outside? What is on the data plate? Take a look inside the casing for clues. Maybe a Camray?? Take a look at the service sheet, what did the engineer say it was? You have got service sheets...

Quite correct snb, but I would have thought that the flexi should have been changed before it fails during it's service, normally when they go stiff it's time for a new one.

Any chance of knowing which model boiler you have?

Wallstar clear flexi's are OK. As long as you have oil at the NR/FV end and at the pump end the air bubble can be any length. Intermittent lock-outs over several weeks at random maybe the control box. Which one do you have? TF or DKO?

Just an update... Went to this boiler again today, checked the flue, it had a plate fixed to the end (for wind/blowback problems?), the customer wanted to removed this and the flue came off in his hands. When I checked the seal that goes in the exhaust telescopic section it was in bits...
