    tiler cam and levelled floor but where the cavity closer is the leveller has cracked as the cavity closer offers no support. what the best thing to do under the cavity closer to prep before tilling?

    i got 26 bags.. on about 4 of them the edges had gone slightly crusty.. they knocked out ok though. its all inside now. think i dodged a bullet there.

    I got some levelling compound on Friday and its been on a pallet on my drive covered with a tarp since then.. I have just been reading the instructions and it talks about storage conditions saying store in containers in dry conditions protected from damp.

    or use 18mm ply screwed to rsj - at most it will be 2mm low on one side.. the other side could be 4mm up - maybe plane the 4mm off? hopefully the underlay and carpet will mask it a little also..

    didnt sketch as its irregular across the length as well as the width.. what I am planning to do is screw a length of half inch ply to the rsj then if required use self levelling compound to build up the last few mm. the joiner had a look and suggested it for me... or if the 12mm if somewhere...

    the flooring used on both sides is 22mm chipboard but the rsj isn't level... so one side the rsj is 6mm up from the top level of the rsj leaving 16mm to make the floor level whereas the other side is only 2mm up leaving 20mm to the top of the rsj.... to make matters worse the 20mm side is...

    bottom of the unit is 50mm higher than wickes but plinth will cover it so all went well. got done at about 22:50 last night.

    funny I just picked up the same at local b and q for 60 each .. my concern was more about the sizing as I thought wickes have different sizest. . but the fascia I have is wickes so I should be ok
