    Saving Cash not breaking the regs....

    I have through the help of those on this site come to the realisation that a 10 mm2 cable is inadequate for my 10.8kw shower with cables in a wall. Can I add another 10 mm cable or do I have to buy a new 16mm2 cable? Many Thanks for the help so far

    So, if I pin the cable above the insulation will that save me? I have already bought the cable, so if not could I just add another 10mm2 cable to the one already run and be safe? Is there a website that helps you with these calculations?

    Plug socket height! Am I going to jail?

    Its in an old house with other sockets already present at just above skirting level, just only one upstairs. One other question, there is one socket run off a spur from downstairs. Should I spur it from the new upstairs ring main to keep the upstairs all on one circuit? Thanks guys.
