Weird CH behaviour - Boiler or controls?

Without the model number to hand right now we cant tell for sure but when you say preheat; does this mean that the combi fires up for a minute or so throughout the day at random points? Because I know that my boiler does that.

Weird CH behaviour - Boiler or controls?

I have a 4 year old new build flat with 5 rads (all except one have TRVs) and an Ideal Combi Boiler, which I know is a poor boiler to be relying on. The heating has been off throughout the spring and summer without problem but during the recent cold snap I have had to switch the system to...

Shower screen seal - that tiny little gap!!

Ahhhh My apologies. The bit which is tight to the glass is actually quite firm plastic and the flap is soft. So cutting off a bit of that bit gripping glass will help. Shall I just use a junior hacksaw? Thanks for your help

Shower screen seal - that tiny little gap!!

I've just looked again and to be honest if anything its the hard plastic that is holding the seal back as opposed to the other way around. Is cutting the solid plastic back 5-10mm feasible?

Shower screen seal - that tiny little gap!!

So cut the solid plastic guide away from the soft seal and thread it so the soft seal covers the gap more?

Shower screen seal - that tiny little gap!!

No chance as that would stop the screen moving on the hinge. Here's a photo http://db.tt/p1bjJRF7 Sorry for only posting the link. I'm doing this from my ipad and haven't worked it out exactly yet!!

Shower screen seal - that tiny little gap!!

Right does anyone have any tips for me on this one? Despite pushing it up as close to the hinge as possible I'm struggling to make sure that the shower seal stops a dribble of water that flows between the tiny gap left on the straight edge. I've managed to blag another seal from the...

Fitting a bath screen. Fixings and general help

Couple of close shaves now and my inexperience is showing. Went and picked up the bits I needed from the list I had written and drilled a test hole on an old tile. I thought to myself 'that looks big' and upon checking realised that the required holes were listed as 4mm as opposed to 8mm...

Fitting a bath screen. Fixings and general help

Ok I had a bit of a delay so just gt round to marking up this work today. Luckily my nervousness (as opposed to common sense) made me try drilling a test tile first. My masonry bit is poor and luckily I haven't done any damage to the bathroom wall, just the test tile. Tomorrow I am going...
