    Soldering Gas pipes

To original poster: Why not just use either a large company such as BG who can be held accountable for any mistakes, or a small local guy who can provide you with references? Or ask to see some of their work. These are quite basic hints, and I am sure that if you were genuinely concerned...

ISAR HE24 COMBUSTION CO READINGS VERY HIGH !!

Don't see what was so good about the classic mate. New fan every 5 years on the FF and a long and tiresome thermocouple change on PP model. Why the hell put the thermocouple at the back?! IMO Ideal's only good boilers are the 18yrs + floorstanders (Mexico, E Type...)

    B&Q BOILERS.

The Biasi Band B condensing boiler is my current "most fitted" model. Its easy to commission, inexpensive, the design is familliar and they are easy to work on. They do not have the excellent interface of the Vaillant ecotec series but I bet that a well installed yet rarely maintained one...

Can I split a 22mm central heating feed into 2 branches?

A good rule of thumb I use is that a 15mm pipe can very comfortably serve 3 radiators. So, lets say for example you have 9 radiators: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take your 22mm flow pipe from the boiler, run it whatever way you are doing...

    B&Q BOILERS.

Just fitted a Heatline Band A Solaris boiler and ur spot on about the AAV, I couldn't even get my fingers in to ensure the cap was loose when filling the system! PRV is not much better, and the condensate trap was very hard to remove to fill up after installation. The boiler itself looked...

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A RF ROOM STAT

I would NOT reccommend the Danfoss RX2 or whatever its called. Overcomplicated setting procedure, no heating boost and very ambiguous instructions. I myself am also on the lookout for a decent and easy to use RF stat. I will check out the Salus one above...

    magna clean

I've got one of his Magnaclean powerflushing filters, its basically 2 massive Magnaclean units in series which goes onto the return to your powerflush and it works really well. I always make a point of showing the customer during the powerflush all the crap that comes out stuck to the magnets...

    Diaphragm for a Worcester CDi24

You can't easily buy just the diaphragm for this boiler as they want you to buy the whole diverter valve. I think that the one for the Ariston Eurocombi is the same though, and the larger stockists will sell you that one.

    Concentric Flue and rain

I've seen a Glow-Worm with a very long flue run with rusty spots at almost every flue joint. Water ingress along the outer flue pipe.

    MAINS WATER "ACCUMULATOR"

Thanks for replies. Have checked Grundfos website and all thats there is the UPA 15-90. The data sheet attached to it states that it only boosts an extra 0.5 - 0.75 bar, and thats not really enough. Corgiman is this the kind of thing you put in...

    MAINS WATER "ACCUMULATOR"

Hi all. Have a question relating to increasing mains water pressure: In my 1st floor flat we have quite low mains pressure, 1 bar standing, 0.7bar working pressure. I want to install a combi as we have not even a single cupboard and the current airing cupboard would be useful. An old...

    Replacing Powermax 155

Dont think they have room for this new Vaillant in their kitchen, it projects about 0.5m out! Also, a 15 litre store is not much, I think that would be just about enough for 1 minutes use of one of their showers! Anyone got any idea of the volume of water a 15mm pipe can pass in 1...
