Wooden bar on roof tiles above fascia board??

Your roofer is right, it does not need to be there. The only reason i can think someone would use these (i have no idea what they are called) is because they cannot run a verge properly and trying to cover up a mess

Roman Triple Roll tiles, minimum angle ?

I call these Belgian pan tiles and they are quite a challenge. You should be able to lay these with a 2" lap (without cutting them) this 'should' keep the rain out. But ultimately these are a bad design driving rain may still get in . When battening it is important to be accurate with the gauge...

Ridge Sagging - jack it up?

Try it, take it easy with little steps, see how it goes. The ridge board is in two pieces so there might be movement there. I personally wouldn't , probably a waste of time . 1/2" a day will take 4 days for 2"........ could pitch it and slate it back in in that time;)

Mortar under ridge tiles falling out

Its best if the joiner sorts it so keep giving him a friendly prod. Can you contact the original roofer directly ? Or maybe ask the joiner for his number. A good local roofer should come and diagnose and give advice for free

    18.7 deg pitch roof

In theory the first course batten will be something like 12" up the rafter anyway so you should still be able to fix conventionally.

    Low pitch roof issues

As long as you are aware that the tiles are just for show and they will not keep the rain out

    Roof concerns

Yes condensation in the apex causing the rot, no point fitting ridge vents the featheredge will block any ventilation. If the tiles are the original then your roof looks in good shape for 100 yrs old!

How to Find Source of Damp Ceiling Near Chimney Breast

To find the cause of dampness around a chimney can be a nightmare, your not alone. Is it possible the warmth of your back boiler is drying out the area immediately surrounding the stack causing confusion? Dont worry about seeing a spot of daylight in your roof. I can't see a 'tray' in your...

    Solid loft insulation

Yes you must have an air gap! The easiest way to do this, run a batten down the rafters tight to the felt this will guarantee an air gap all the way. If your rafters are 70mm deep then 50mm insulation is your max.
