Best budget (ish) circular saw at the moment ?

The problem with these two options is that they both have "non standard" teeth, making that usual comparison somewhat difficult. I don't have detailed pictures but you can see enough from the links above to hopefully understand what I mean.

Best budget (ish) circular saw at the moment ?

Went to B&Q today for something else and looked at their range of circular saws http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-tools/sawing/circular-saws?fh_sort_by=_price_rrp_min&fh_sort_order=1&fh_view_size=150&fh_start_index=0 The Ryobi at £69.98...

Chronic condensation - never seen it like this before

Extractor over the cooker, somewhat away from the dryer.

How to attach curtain rail / track / pole to UPVC door ?

Crap UPVC door with two large glazed panels which leaks like a sieve. Have renewed seals and adjusted fit within frame but it is just rubbish. I've put up foil insulation and now want a curtain to block out the cold air.

How to attach curtain rail / track / pole to UPVC door ?

Haven't got a rail yet and curtain is somewhat lighter than I anticipated. Was thinking that I might get away with a thin plastic rail to keep it close to the door.

How to attach curtain rail / track / pole to UPVC door ?

That is what I was thinking of, though that company is in serious need of someone to sort out their product descriptions and website. Though seriously more expensive than I thought it would be necessary to pay, I wouldn't order from there as they have done such a poor job of describing and...

Best budget (ish) circular saw at the moment ?

I tend to agree, yet I cannot justify going semi pro as after this job, it may simply lay dormant forever. Reading reviews, the issue of non mains circular saws could be an issue if you are doing a lot at one time, which I will be. Yet I may jettison a £60 buy for a £100 one if I think it is...

How to attach curtain rail / track / pole to UPVC door ?

I want to put up a door curtain to help keep out the cold but need some way to attach it to the door, which is UPVC. From the inside, the door is hinged to the right, opening inwards, with a solid wall on the right hand side. In theory, some sort of moveable right angle bracket could hold it...

What is the cost of running an electric towel radiator ?

Slower to heat up with a smaller element is the same cost as quicker with a larger one except that you lose more heat during the slower heating time which makes a smaller element more expensive in a round about way ! No gas so no hot water heating system to tap into I'm afraid. All...

Chronic condensation - never seen it like this before

Impractical to do that directly I'm afraid even if physically possible with a condenser model as there isn't an external opening near enough. Also, because we do most of the drying at night to benefit from Economy 7 electric, we cannot very well leave the ground floor window open. Yet I...

Best budget (ish) circular saw at the moment ?

My guess is that I pays my money and takes my chance with whatever I get. Just hoping a couple will come into sale this week. I see Homebase are going to have a 20% off from Boxing Day so this...

Best budget (ish) circular saw at the moment ?

Wouldn't mind you casting your eye over this as a suitable candidate http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-tools/sawing/circular-saws/Evolution-Fury-1-Basic-Multi-Purpose-Circular-Saw-10837613 Thanks

Chronic condensation - never seen it like this before

Your argument makes complete sense. Quite how I achieve the required additional ventilation I am not sure. As to the floor, the cellar is totally dry and there is no meaningful run off from the gardens which hits the house. I've just stripped out a water cylinder from a part of the house...

Cannot change shower temperature - always luke warm

Going to give a service kit a try at £15 or so. Mira will come out for £170 and replace anything necessary or if totally kaput, charge £80 or so and tell you to buy a new one !

What is the cost of running an electric towel radiator ?

I think I can address the heating issue with a storage heater if the one I have elsewhere is suitable. I think I can locate it sufficiently far away from any water source as to be within regulations but I'll check. The towel radiator is really for the towels as it would be a terrible design...

Best way to secure studwork to concrete floor

I can see this as a potential solution. Not sure how much of a screed there is to be honest, or even whether it is simply rubble under a screed of sorts. My money is on a cheap job, whatever it is. Yeah, another option.

What is the cost of running an electric towel radiator ?

Why would I not want it on 24/7 ? It provides warmth to an otherwise cold room and dries damp towels. With 3 people and at least 6 showers / baths a day between 06:00 and 01:00 there isn't much time to turn it off and still have warm dry towels on demand. Surely a thermostatically controlled...

Chronic condensation - never seen it like this before

We have a condenser tumble dryer but I take it that the moisture that creates needs ventilating itself. Perhaps another extractor in the kitchen ? Bathroom is too small for hanging washing but I take it that we need to look at another solution. The property was built way before anyone...

[/url] Very good points, thank you. Seems a design issue rather than a procedural one.
